Jessica's long-standing dedication to LGBTQ+ rights has been shaped by both personal experience and public service. As a trans woman for over 25 years, she has firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by the community, lending authenticity and depth to her advocacy. Her tenure as an officer for Stonewall Austin, Vice President for Stonewall Texas, and Texas Congressional District 35 delegate to the Democratic National Convention has provided her with invaluable experience in legislative engagement and coa lition-building. Regularly testifying before the Texas Legislature, she has sharpened her advocacy skills and gained national recognition as a fierce and articulate voice for equality.
